The purpose
of your first visit is to meet with Dr. Rose to evaluate
and discuss your treatment needs. Dr. Rose will review
your medical and dental history and perform an oral
exam.
This important visit will address the patient's
orthodontic needs. If treatment is indicated, Dr.
Rose will discuss treatment options, associated fees,
and various payment arrangements with you. Dr. Rose
will work together with your general dentist to provide
the highest level of orthodontic care. A definitive
diagnosis, treatment plan and associated fees will
be determined after complete diagnostic records are
made.
In review, the initial exam provides an opportunity
to discuss:
- What sort of orthodontic problem is
present, if any.
- If orthodontic treatment is
indicated, is this the ideal time to initiate treatment.
- What type of orthodontic treatment is indicated.
- How long will the treatment take, which is influenced
by the type orthodontic appliance selected.
- Approximate
treatment cost, methods of payment, and how Dr.
Rose works with your dental plan or insurance.
If treatment is indicated, diagnostic records
are made to determine the best course of treatment.
Complete diagnostic records typically include plaster
study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's
face and teeth, and orthodontic x-rays. This
information is used to develop a custom treatment
plan for each patient. These records are also helpful
in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth
move under orthodontic care.
After Dr. Rose has
evaluated your records, he will discuss treatment
with you in detail, including the cost for your particular
case, and the wide variety of payment methods offered
in his office.
The appointment when your orthodontic
appliances are placed, usually takes from one to
two hours. Once appliances are placed, patients are
usually seen at regular intervals, usually five to
eight weeks apart for about thirty minutes. Patients
are seen
by appointment only. We make every effort to be on
time for our patients, and ask that you extend the
same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment,
please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is
an emergency.
Orthodontic treatment
is an excellent investment in the overall dental,
medical, and psychological well being of patients.
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of
the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss
fees and payment options before treatment begins.
We have payment plans to suit different budgets,
including a no-down-payment option. We accept assignment
from most dental plans and insurance companies, and
file the necessary forms to the insurance company.
We work hard to make orthodontics affordable. To
fit your individual needs, if desired, financial
arrangements can be made to extend your payments
over the anticipated length of active treatment.
Your payment schedule can be designed to fit your
cafeteria or flex plans. For your convenience, we
accept payment by Visa, MasterCard and Discover,
and can arrange an automatic monthly charge to your
credit card of your scheduled orthodontic payment.
Dr. Rose is pleased to participate in most
dental and insurance plans offered in the Houston
Metroplex (click here to see a list of Insurance/Dental Plans). We will gladly help in filing your claim. Professional care is provided to you, our patient.
Please be aware, the patient is responsible to the
doctor, and the insurance company is responsible
to the patient.
